Tatar project is dedicated to miniature reconstruction of Kazan Tatar national costumes of various historical periods. We will experiment with historical patterns, unique design elements and techniques contemporary and antique clothes, myths and fantasy without strict rules. So far we are trying to recreate children costumes of the second half of the previous century, especially late Soviet times.
The first doll of the project was a girl of five named Alsu, now she is being reissued and is joined by a boy named Ruslan. They are almost 17 cm or a bit more than 6.5 inches in height, have changeable eyes and faceplates held with magnets. For the first time we used opaque polyurethane in this project to obtain the best results for white and natural skin colours.
We don't take orders for little Tatars at the moment but have hopes to re-launch the project in the future. If you would like to get news about it once there are any, please, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.!
